Jennifer Wilfong Can Do 4:13 Founder

Jennifer Wilfong is the only member in her immediate family to graduate from college.She realizes how important it is to have an education and job skills.

In September 2004, NBC affiliate WEEK and the Peoria Chamber of Commerce named Jennifer Wilfong as one of the Top 25 Women in Leadership.She was recognized for her leadership not only at Caterpillar as a Marketing Manager, but also for her efforts in launching an inner city youth scholarship fund (Can Do 4:13 Scholarship Fund) as well as organizing a 9-11 memorial walk which helps honor those who lost their lives on 9-11-01 and all those who run to our aid daily.

In 2006, Jennifer was awarded the Children's Advocacy volunteer award, presented by the Children's Hospital of Illinois, and the Community Spirit award by District 150.

She enjoys traveling with close friends, family outings, walking, live sporting events, warm weather, reading, and people with Can Do attitudes. She attends Riverside Community Church in Peoria, and her favorite phrase in the Bible is: "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Phil 4:13 


Indiana University
Jennifer is a graduate of Indiana University's Kelley School of Business. She was also a four year letter winner on the I.U. women's basketball team from 1982-1986. Jennifer followed the path of her uncle and great-uncle to IU!

Harvard Business School
Jennifer completed the General Management executive education at the Harvard Business School in Nov. 2007.

Caterpillar Inc.
Cat is the world's leading manufacturer of engines and construction equipment

Jennifer joined Caterpillar Inc. in 1986 and has had many opportunities corporately marketing Cat's brand name and products. For example, her career at Caterpillar has spanned marketing, finance, new product launches, customer service, dealer administration, and e-business implementations. She is the Customer Support Manager at Caterpillar Inc. in Peoria, IL.

Jennifer suffered from ulcerative colitis from 1991-2000, and then had major surgery and had her entire colon removed in 2000. This trial drove her to reach out and give back to the community, by launching "Can Do 4:13 Scholarship Fund" in 2002.

Knightstown, IN Highschool
In December 2008, the Wilfong Girls Basketball Award and Scholarship was launched at KHS, where Jennifer graduated and played four years of varsity basketball. This award will provide an annual winner a $500 scholarship, due to their accomplishments with academics, extra-curricular activities, athletics, and community service.

Can Do Community Spirit Award

Jennifer Wilfong received the first ever Can Do Community Spirit Award, awarded to the Founder of the Can Do 4:13 Scholarship Fund by District 150 and Irving Principal, Mike Illuzzi.
