5th Annual Can Do Arts Sale & Social Can Do Arts is a foundational piece to the Can Do 4:13 Scholarship Fund. Not only do we want to offer the Can Do Kids scholarships, but we also want them to experience the Arts. Finishing their artwork in school teaches them discipline, and it also gives them a way to express their creativity. Lastly, it provides the Can Do Kids self esteem when they raise money for their own scholarship.
5th Annual Can Do Arts Sale Raised $4,000 Thanks
to many members from the Peoria area community, over $4,000 was raised
at the 5th annual Can Do Arts sale on Friday,
May 30, 2008. The evening featured masterpieces from the 4th
grade students of Irving Primary, and their artwork sold for an average
of $100/piece. Not
only are the Can Do Kids becoming better artists, but the community
is truly responding to their talent and supporting the Can Do Scholarship
Fund with their contributions. Cynthia B. Fischer, |

The Can Do Scholarship Fund's goal is to ultimately help provide skills to these Kids, so that they may become driving forces in their families and communities. Both events, the Walk and the Arts auction, will be repeated annually, as the two primary fund raisers for the Can Do 4:13 Scholarship Fund.
